Sr. Elisa and I are in Dallas this week. We come pretty much the same week every year and share about St. Angela and our Ursuline life with students and faculty at Ursuline Academy of Dallas. This year we’ll visit eleven sections of sophomore theology classes and talk with the 225 sophomore students! Founded in 1874, Ursuline Academy has educated young women in the spirit of our foundress St. Angela Merici for 141 years. In this photo are five Sisters from the Dallas Ursuline community, each of whom graduated from Ursuline Academy of Dallas. It’s hard to see, but back in the day they wore the uniform and saddle shoes being modeled on the mannequin!
While flash drives are a useful place to store documents and photos, our hearts are where we preserve our most precious dreams and memories. Since this is my fourth year coming to Dallas, I have gobs of GB’s stored on the flash drive of my heart— inter-acting with students, getting to know faculty, staff and parents, having fun with my Ursuline Sisters, dinner out with the UA theology teachers, meeting alums, seeing some of the sights around Dallas, meeting students and teachers from the Ursuline sister-schools in Chile and Peru—just to name a few! To all at UA Dallas: Thanks for the memories!
