The Fourth of July is a much-anticipated summer holiday—vacatiojuly 4 clip artns, cook-outs, parades, fireworks—just for starters! It’s a day to get together with family and friends. We sing patriotic songs, watch marching bands, and honor those who serve or have served in the military. It’s a day to remember our roots and reflect on our founding story.

There’s no doubt that we live in a great country. But there’s so much more we can and need to do not just for those who live within our borders, but for our sisters and brothers around the world, and for our planet. Many of our readers do not live in the United States. But no matter where you live, I invite you to make time tomorrow to pray for our nation and all who call it home. You can use your own words, or you might want to pray this prayer I came across: Prayer for our Nation.
